Kenny Hickey, born on May 22, 1966, is a prominent American musician known for his exceptional skills as a singer and guitarist. He gained fame as a key member of the gothic metal band Type O Negative, where he served as the guitarist and contributed backing and occasional co-lead vocals. His tenure with the band spanned from 1989 until the untimely passing of frontman Peter Steele in 2010.
Following his time with Type O Negative, Hickey continued to make his mark in the music industry as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the doom metal band Silvertomb. He also co-founded the doom metal band Seventh Void, further showcasing his versatility and passion for the genre. Throughout his career, Hickey has collaborated with fellow Type O Negative member and close friend Johnny Kelly, who has played drums in all three bands.
