He is an accomplished American professional basketball player currently showcasing his talents with the Memphis Grizzlies in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Caldwell-Pope's journey in basketball began at a young age, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the top high school players in the class of 2011, earning the prestigious title of McDonald's All-American.

After high school, Caldwell-Pope took his skills to the collegiate level, playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). His remarkable performance during his sophomore year earned him the SEC Player of the Year award in 2013, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the sport.

In 2013, Caldwell-Pope was selected as the eighth overall pick in the NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he spent four seasons honing his craft. His career took a significant turn when he joined the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent for the 2017-18 season.
