Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Kentavious Tannell Caldwell-Pope, known as KCP, was born on February 18, 1993. He is an accomplished American professional basketball player currently showcasing his talents with the Memphis Grizzlies in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Caldwell-Pope's journey in basketball began at a young age, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the top high school players in the class of 2011, earning the prestigious title of McDonald's All-American.

After high school, Caldwell-Pope took his skills to the collegiate level, playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). His remarkable performance during his sophomore year earned him the SEC Player of the Year award in 2013, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the sport.

In 2013, Caldwell-Pope was selected as the eighth overall pick in the NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he spent four seasons honing his craft. His career took a significant turn when he joined the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent for the 2017-18 season. With the Lakers, he achieved his first NBA championship in 2020, a crowning achievement in his professional career.

Following his time with the Lakers, Caldwell-Pope was traded to the Washington Wizards in August 2021, and later to the Denver Nuggets in July 2022.
