Kenwyne Jones, born on October 5, 1984, is a distinguished Trinidadian football manager and a retired professional player known for his role as a forward. His football journey began with Joe Public F.C. in his homeland, Trinidad and Tobago, before he made a significant move to W Connection in 2002.

In 2003, Jones showcased his versatility as a utility player for the Trinidad and Tobago national team during a match against Finland. The following year, he joined Southampton, where he transitioned into a striker, marking a pivotal point in his career. His time at Southampton included loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City during the 2004–05 season.

In 2007, Jones made headlines when he signed with Sunderland for a fee of six million pounds, where he spent three fruitful seasons. His journey continued as he joined Stoke City in August 2010, where he made an immediate impact by scoring twelve goals in his first season and participating in the 2011 FA Cup Final.

His professional playing career concluded in November 2017 when he retired from football.
