Kevin A. Ford

Kevin A. Ford, born on July seventh, nineteen sixty, is a distinguished retired United States Air Force Colonel and NASA astronaut. With a remarkable career, Ford has accumulated over six thousand one hundred flying hours and holds FAA certifications for various aircraft, including airplanes, helicopters, gliders, and balloons.

Since his selection as an astronaut in July two thousand, Ford has taken on numerous roles at NASA, showcasing his versatility and expertise. Notably, he served as a Capsule Communicator, or CAPCOM, and held the position of Director of Operations at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, from January two thousand four to January two thousand five.

Ford's spaceflight experience includes piloting the STS-128 mission and serving as flight engineer two on Soyuz TMA-06M from October twenty-third, two thousand twelve, to March sixteenth, two thousand thirteen.
