Kevin Spraggett

Kevin Spraggett, born on November tenth, nineteen fifty-four, is a distinguished Canadian chess grandmaster who has made significant contributions to the chess world. He holds the honor of being the first Canadian-born player and the fourth Canadian overall to achieve the grandmaster title, following in the footsteps of notable players such as Abe Yanofsky, Duncan Suttles, and Peter Biyiasas.

Throughout his illustrious career, Spraggett has made history by being the only Canadian to qualify for the world championship Candidates Tournament, accomplishing this remarkable feat in nineteen eighty-five and again in nineteen eighty-eight.
