Keyshia Cole

Keyshia Cole, born on October 15, 1981, in Oakland, California, is a multifaceted American singer, songwriter, television personality, and actress. She rose to prominence in the mid-2000s, establishing herself as a leading figure in contemporary R&B. Known for her emotionally resonant vocal style and autobiographical songwriting, critics have affectionately dubbed her the 'Princess of Hip-Hop Soul.'

Her journey into the music industry began in the early 2000s after she moved to Los Angeles, where she collaborated with various Bay Area artists and producers. Cole's career took off with her debut studio album, 'The Way It Is,' released in 2005. The album debuted within the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), featuring the hit single 'Love.'
