Khalid ibn Sa'id

Khālid ibn Saʿīd ibn al-ʿĀṣ, known as Abu Sa'id, was a prominent figure in early Islamic history, born around the year six hundred. A member of the Banu Umayya clan of the Quraysh tribe, he was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad and played a significant role as a general during the Rashidun Caliphate.

His journey into Islam began before the year six hundred thirteen, alongside his brother Amr. Following their conversion, Khalid and his wife Hamaniya migrated to Abyssinia, where he served as the wali for Umm Habiba during her marriage to Muhammad, which took place while she was in exile.

In the year six hundred thirty-three, Khalid was appointed by Abu Bakr to lead the Syrian campaign, showcasing his military prowess and leadership. Tragically, his life was cut short in the year six hundred thirty-four during the battle of Marj al-Saffar, just after he had married Umm Hakim bint al-Harith ibn Hisham on the eve of the conflict.
