Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani

Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, born on September seventeenth, nineteen thirty-two, served as the Emir of Qatar from February twenty-second, nineteen seventy-two, until his deposition in a coup led by his son, Hamad bin Khalifa, on June twenty-seventh, nineteen ninety-five.

His reign marked a significant period in Qatar's history, during which the nation began to assert its independence and develop its resources. Khalifa's leadership was characterized by efforts to modernize the country and improve its infrastructure.
