Khamica Bingham

Khamica Bingham, born on June 15, 1994, in North York, Ontario, is a distinguished Canadian track and field athlete specializing in the 100 meters. Her athletic journey began in gymnastics, where she competed at a national level. However, due to the financial strain on her family, she transitioned to track and field, a decision that would lead her to represent Canada on the world stage.

During her high school years at Heart Lake Secondary School, Bingham showcased her talent and determination. In July 2012, she made a significant mark by competing in the 100 meters at the 14th IAAF World Junior Championships, where she finished in an impressive fourth place. Her dedication and skill contributed to her being part of the national record women's 4 × 100 m relay team, alongside notable athletes Kimberly Hyacinthe, Crystal Emmanuel, and Shai-Anne Davis.

In July 2016, Bingham's hard work paid off when she was officially named to Canada's Olympic team, marking a pivotal moment in her athletic career. She continued to build on her achievements and represented her country at the 2020 Summer Olympics, further solidifying her status as a prominent figure in Canadian athletics.
