Khandu Wangchuk

Khandu Wangchuk, born on November twenty-four, nineteen fifty, is a prominent political figure in Bhutan, known for his significant contributions as a politician and diplomat. He pursued his higher education at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, which laid the foundation for his future in public service.

Wangchuk first served as the Chairman of the council, effectively acting as Prime Minister, from two thousand one until two thousand two. His leadership was marked by a commitment to advancing Bhutan's political landscape. On September seventh, two thousand six, he returned to the role of Prime Minister, a position he held until August second, two thousand seven, when he resigned to participate in the upcoming two thousand eight elections as a member of the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) political party.

In addition to his role as Prime Minister, Wangchuk served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from two thousand three to two thousand seven, where he played a crucial role in shaping Bhutan's international relations. Following the DPT's victory in the March two thousand eight elections, he was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs on April eleventh, two thousand eight, further solidifying his influence in the country's governance.
