Khatuna Lorig, born on January first, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished archer originally from Georgia who made her mark in the world of archery after immigrating to the United States. Her journey in the sport began at a young age, showcasing her talent on an international stage.

At just eighteen years old, Lorig competed for the Unified Team at the Barcelona Olympics in nineteen ninety-two, where she earned a bronze medal, marking the beginning of her illustrious career. She later represented Georgia in the Atlanta Olympics in nineteen ninety-six and again in Sydney in two thousand, competing under the name Khatuna Lorigi.

In two thousand four, Lorig transitioned to representing the United States, adopting the name Khatuna Lorig. This change came after she faced citizenship issues that prevented her from participating in the Athens Olympics. Her dedication to the sport led her to compete for Team USA in the two thousand eight Beijing Olympics and again at the age of thirty-eight in the two thousand twelve London Olympics, demonstrating her enduring passion and commitment to archery.
