Khetag Gazyumov

Khetag Gazyumov, born on April 24, 1983, is a distinguished retired freestyle wrestler of Ossetian descent, representing both Russia and Azerbaijan. His wrestling journey began in 1990, and by 1994, he was already competing at a high level. Gazyumov's dedication and talent led him to compete in the 96 kg weight category, where he achieved remarkable success on the international stage.

Throughout his career, Gazyumov earned bronze medals at the Summer Olympics in both 2008 and 2012, showcasing his prowess among the world's elite wrestlers. His performance at the 2016 Rio Games was equally impressive, where he secured a silver medal, further solidifying his legacy in the sport.

In addition to his Olympic achievements, Gazyumov's accolades include four gold and four silver medals at various European and world championships between 2009 and 2014. He also claimed a gold medal at the 2015 European Games, highlighting his consistent excellence in wrestling.
