Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad

Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad was a prominent Bangladeshi politician, born on January first, nineteen eighteen. He served as the Minister of Commerce in the third Mujib Rahman ministry, a significant role during a transformative period in Bangladesh's history.

Following the tragic assassination of President-Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August fifteenth, nineteen seventy-five, Ahmad ascended to the presidency of Bangladesh. His tenure was marked by controversial actions, including his praise for the assassins, whom he referred to as 'sons of the sun,' and the imprisonment of cabinet ministers loyal to his predecessor.

Despite his brief presidency, Ahmad's political party struggled to establish itself as a major force in Bangladeshi politics. His leadership was short-lived, as he was deposed in a coup on November third, nineteen seventy-five, just months after taking office.
