Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Kićo Slabinac

Kićo Slabinac, born on March twenty-eighth, nineteen forty-four, was a prominent Croatian pop singer and politician known for his unique blend of contemporary pop and traditional Slavonian folk music. His musical journey began in the 1960s when he was part of several rock'n'roll bands before deciding to pursue a solo career. This pivotal choice led him to Zagreb, where he caught the attention of Nikica Kalogjera while performing in a local club.

In nineteen sixty-nine, Slabinac made his debut at the Split Festival, marking the beginning of his rise in the music industry. His talent was further recognized in nineteen seventy when he won the first prize at the Opatija Festival. The following year, he represented Yugoslavia at the Eurovision Song Contest with his song 'Tvoj dječak je tužan,' finishing in fourteenth place, which helped to elevate his profile internationally.

One of Slabinac's most significant hits, 'Zbog jedne divne crne žene,' solidified his status as a beloved singer in Croatia. However, the subsequent decade brought challenges, including legal troubles and time spent abroad, which hindered his career progression. Upon returning from the United States, he shifted his focus back to folk music while remaining active in the pop scene.

His song 'Letaj mi' became an evergreen hit in Macedonia, particularly after it was performed in Macedonian at the 'MakFest' festival in nineteen eighty-nine. Kićo Slabinac's contributions to music left a lasting impact, and he continued to be a beloved figure until his passing on November thirteenth, twenty twenty, in Zagreb, after a long and complicated illness.
