During his four years in North London, he played a pivotal role in the squad that reached the final of the 2019 Champions League. In 2019, he transitioned to Spanish club Atlético Madrid, where he celebrated winning the La Liga title in the 2020–21 season.
On the international stage, Trippier has represented England at various levels, from under-18 to under-21, participating in the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He made his senior debut in June 2017 and showcased his skills in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, notably scoring from a free kick in the semi-final.
