Kilij Arslan III, born in the year 1190, was a notable figure in the political landscape of the Seljuq Empire, serving as the Sultan of Rûm for a brief period from 1204 to 1205. He ascended to the throne following the reign of his father, Suleiman II, marking a continuation of the family's influence in the region.
His rule, although short-lived, was significant in the context of the Seljuq dynasty's history. Kilij Arslan III was succeeded by his uncle, Kaykhusraw I, who would continue the legacy of the Seljuq rulers in Rûm.
In addition to his political endeavors, Kilij Arslan III is remembered for his family, particularly his daughter, Gawhar Khatun, who would carry on the lineage of the Seljuq dynasty.
