Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Kim Deal

Kim Deal, born on June tenth, nineteen sixty-one, is a celebrated American musician known for her dynamic contributions to the alternative rock scene. She first gained prominence as the original bassist and co-vocalist of the influential band the Pixies, a role she held from nineteen eighty-six until nineteen ninety-three, and then again from two thousand four to two thousand thirteen. During her time with the Pixies, she adopted the stage name Mrs. John Murphy, contributing to iconic albums such as Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa.

In nineteen eighty-nine, Deal took a significant step in her career by forming the Breeders, a band that would become her primary focus following the Pixies' breakup in early nineteen ninety-three. The Breeders achieved commercial success with their platinum-selling album Last Splash, released in nineteen ninety-three, which featured the hit single “Cannonball.” However, the band faced challenges, including a hiatus in nineteen ninety-four when her sister Kelley Deal entered drug rehabilitation.

During this hiatus, Kim adopted the stage name Tammy Ampersand and formed the Amps, releasing the album Pacer in nineteen ninety-five. After overcoming her own struggles with addiction, she reformed the Breeders with a new lineup, leading to the release of Title TK in two thousand two and Mountain Battles in two thousand eight. In two thousand four, she reunited with the Pixies, contributing to their resurgence.

In two thousand thirteen, Deal left the Pixies to concentrate on the Breeders, who celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Last Splash with a reunion tour. The Breeders released their fifth album, All Nerve, in two thousand eighteen, marking the return of the original lineup. Most recently, in two thousand twenty-four, Kim Deal released her debut solo album, Nobody Loves You More..., showcasing her enduring talent and creativity.
