Kim Jae-bum

Kim Jae-bum, born on January twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-five, in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a retired South Korean judoka renowned for his remarkable achievements in the half-middleweight category, specifically at eighty-one kilograms. His career, marked by resilience, saw him overcoming numerous injuries to dominate major competitions, particularly from his Olympic debut in two thousand eight through to his rematch in the finals against Ole Bischof in two thousand twelve.

Throughout his journey in judo, Kim earned several nicknames that reflect his tenacity and skill. He was affectionately dubbed the "Man of One Arm Wins" due to his ability to triumph despite physical setbacks. His aggressive style and iconic status in South Korean judo led to him being called the "Korean Tiger," while his quick and relentless approach earned him the moniker "Energizer Bunny."
