Kim Jun-su, known mononymously as Junsu or by his stage name XIA, is a prominent South Korean singer-songwriter and musical actor born on December 15, 1986. He first gained fame as a member of the legendary boy band TVXQ, which debuted in 2003 under SM Entertainment. During his tenure with the group, he was known as Xiah Junsu and contributed to the release of numerous albums and singles, both in Korean and Japanese.

In 2009, Junsu, alongside fellow members Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun, took a bold step by filing a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, challenging the terms of their exclusive contracts. The court ruled in their favor, leading to the formation of JYJ in 2010. This new group continued to thrive, releasing multiple albums and expanding their reach in the music industry.

Junsu embarked on a successful solo career in 2010 with the release of his Japanese EP, Xiah, which achieved significant commercial success. His musical debut came shortly after, where he portrayed Wolfgang in the acclaimed production of Mozart!. In May 2012, he made his solo debut in South Korea with the album Tarantallegra, which topped the Gaon Album Chart and made waves internationally.
