Kim Sae-ron

Kim Sae-ron, born on July 31, 2000, began her journey in the entertainment industry as a child model in 2001. She made her acting debut in 2009 with the film A Brand New Life, which marked the beginning of a promising career. Her breakthrough came in 2010 with the critically acclaimed film The Man from Nowhere, earning her a nomination for Best New Actress at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

Throughout her career, Kim showcased her versatility by starring in various television series, including Listen to My Heart in 2011, The Queen's Classroom in 2013, and Hi! School: Love On in 2014. She also received praise for her performance in the film A Girl at My Door, released in the same year. In 2016, she took on her first adult lead role in the series Secret Healer, further solidifying her status as one of South Korea's most promising young actresses.

Despite her early success, Kim's career faced significant challenges in 2022 following a drunk driving incident that led to public backlash and legal repercussions. This incident resulted in her departure from the production of Trolley in 2023 and a partial edit from the drama Bloodhounds, which required a revision of the storyline.

Tragically, Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seoul, South Korea, on February 16, 2025, at the age of twenty-four. Her death was ruled a suicide, marking a heartbreaking end to the life of a talented actress who had captured the hearts of many.
