Kim Yo Jong, born on September twenty-sixth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a prominent North Korean politician and diplomat. She is notably the sister of Kim Jong Un, the current supreme leader and General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Her political career has seen a significant rise, particularly with her appointment as the director of the General Affairs Department of the WPK in February twenty twenty-six, a role she assumed during the first plenary meeting of the ninth Central Committee.
In addition to her directorial position, Kim Yo Jong has been serving as an alternate member of the Politburo of the WPK since March twenty twenty-six. Her political influence has been evident since her earlier tenure as an alternate member of the Politburo from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen, and again from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-one.
