Kimi Räikkönen

Kimi Räikkönen, known as 'the Iceman', is a celebrated Finnish racing and rally driver who made his mark in Formula One from two thousand one to two thousand twenty-one, and competed in the World Rally Championship between two thousand nine and two thousand eleven. Born on October seventeenth, nineteen seventy-nine, in Espoo, Räikkönen began his racing journey at the tender age of ten, quickly rising through the ranks of competitive karting and securing several national titles before transitioning to junior formulae in nineteen ninety-nine.

His impressive performance in the two thousand British Formula Renault Championship caught the attention of Sauber, who signed him for Formula One in two thousand one. Räikkönen's rookie season was marked by several points finishes, leading to a move to McLaren in two thousand two, where he achieved his first podium on debut. His breakthrough victory came at the Malaysian Grand Prix in two thousand three, and he finished just two points behind Michael Schumacher that season. Despite facing reliability issues in subsequent years, he secured a total of seven wins in two thousand five, finishing as runner-up to Fernando Alonso.

In two thousand seven, Räikkönen made a pivotal switch to Ferrari, where he clinched the Formula One World Drivers' Championship by a mere single point, outpacing both Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.
