Kira Grünberg

Kira Grünberg, born on August thirteenth, nineteen ninety-three, is an accomplished Austrian politician and former pole vault athlete. Throughout her athletic career, she proudly represented Austria in numerous international competitions, showcasing her talent and determination on the global stage.

Grünberg's most notable achievements include a commendable fourth place finish at the two thousand twelve World Junior Championships and a similar placement at the two thousand fifteen European U23 Championships. She also reached the finals at the two thousand fourteen European Championships, although she faced challenges and did not clear any height during that event.

Tragically, on July thirtieth, two thousand fifteen, Grünberg suffered a life-altering injury while training in her hometown of Innsbruck. During a routine jump, she landed on her head and neck, resulting in a fracture of her fifth cervical vertebrae. This devastating accident left her a tetraplegic, changing the course of her life and career.

Despite the challenges she faced, Kira Grünberg set impressive personal bests in pole vaulting, achieving heights of four point forty-five meters both outdoors and indoors in two thousand fourteen and two thousand fifteen, respectively.
