Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Kirill Meretskov

Kirill Meretskov, born on June seventh, nineteen ninety-seven, was a prominent Soviet military commander and politician. His journey began with his enlistment in the Communist Party in nineteen seventeen, followed by his service in the Red Army starting in nineteen twenty. Meretskov's military acumen was notably displayed during the Winter War of nineteen thirty-nine to nineteen forty, where he commanded the 7th Army with the critical objective of breaching the formidable Mannerheim Line. His exceptional leadership earned him the prestigious title of Hero of the Soviet Union shortly thereafter.

However, Meretskov's career faced a significant setback when he was arrested by the NKVD at the onset of the Soviet Union's invasion. After two months of imprisonment, he was released and swiftly returned to his command role, leading the 7th Army and later the Volkhov Front during the harrowing siege of Leningrad from nineteen forty-one to nineteen forty-four. His strategic prowess was further demonstrated as he took command of the Karelian Front in February nineteen forty-four, where he played a crucial role in the Petsamo–Kirkenes Offensive in October of the same year.

In April nineteen forty-five, Meretskov was assigned to the Far East, where he commanded a front during the Soviet invasion of Japanese Manchuria. His remarkable contributions throughout the war culminated in his promotion to the rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union, a testament to his exceptional military leadership and dedication to his country.
