Kirsten Sweetland, born on September twenty-fourth, nineteen eighty-eight, is a retired Canadian professional triathlete who made her mark in the world of competitive triathlon. She first gained international recognition as the Junior World Champion in two thousand six, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination.

Throughout her career, Sweetland participated in twenty-six ITU competitions from two thousand five to two thousand ten, securing thirteen top ten finishes. In two thousand ten, she achieved remarkable success by winning silver medals at both the U23 World Championships and the Premium Pan American Cup held in Kelowna.

Sweetland also represented the Tri Olympique Club Cessonnais in France during the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux. At the Grand Final in La Baule on September eighteenth, two thousand ten, she finished eighth, contributing to her club's fifth-place overall standing alongside fellow athlete Aileen Morrison.

In two thousand fifteen, she became a member of the ECS Triathlon club in Sartrouville, France. The following year, Sweetland was honored to be named to the Canadian Olympic team, competing in the Rio Olympics. After a successful career, she retired from elite triathlon in two thousand seventeen and now dedicates her time to coaching aspiring athletes through her online platform, while also working as a Registered Massage Therapist.
