Kirsti Lay

Kirsti Lay, born on April seventh, nineteen eighty-eight, is a distinguished Canadian athlete known for her remarkable achievements in both cycling and speed skating. As a former professional racing cyclist, she competed for the UCI Women's Team Rally UHC Cycling from two thousand sixteen to two thousand nineteen, showcasing her talent on the international stage.

In two thousand fifteen, Lay made her mark at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, where she earned a bronze medal in the Team Pursuit event. Her dedication and skill led to her selection for Canada's Olympic team in two thousand sixteen, where she again secured a bronze medal in the same event, solidifying her status as a top competitor.

Before her cycling career, Lay was an accomplished speed skater. She participated in the World Junior Speed Skating Championships in two thousand five, two thousand six, and two thousand seven, as well as the two thousand nine Winter Universiade. Her speed skating journey also included competing in two weekends of the ISU Speed Skating World Cup during the two thousand ten to eleven season, held in Moscow and Salt Lake City.
