Initially trained as a dental technician, Teuber's passion for game design blossomed from a mere hobby into a full-fledged career, leading him to create some of the most beloved games in the industry.

Among his most notable achievements is the creation of Catan, a game that has sold over forty million copies worldwide and has been translated into forty languages. This iconic game not only garnered immense popularity but also inspired a multitude of expansions and variations, solidifying Teuber's legacy in the gaming community.

Teuber's talent has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards, including four Spiel des Jahres accolades for his games Barbarossa in nineteen eighty-eight, Adel Verpflichtet in nineteen ninety, Drunter und Drüber in nineteen ninety-one, and The Settlers of Catan in nineteen ninety-five.
