Klô Pelgag, born Chloé Pelletier-Gagnon on March 13, 1990, in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec, is a celebrated Canadian singer-songwriter known for her unique sound and artistic vision. She embarked on her musical journey in 2009, captivating audiences at various festivals and music contests across Quebec.
In 2012, she released her self-titled debut EP, which laid the groundwork for her subsequent success. Her first full-length album, L'Alchimie des monstres, was released in 2013 and garnered significant acclaim, earning her a nomination for Francophone Album of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2015.
Pelgag's talent was recognized early on when she won the Félix Award for New Artist of the Year in 2014. That same year, she was also a shortlisted nominee for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize for her enchanting song, 'La fièvre des fleurs.' Her accolades continued with the SOCAN Breakout Award at the Francophone SOCAN Awards in December 2014.
In November 2016, she unveiled her album L'étoile thoracique, further solidifying her place in the music industry. By 2018, she had won the Prix Félix for Female Singer of the Year at the Gala de l'ADISQ. Her 2020 album, Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs, was shortlisted for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize, showcasing her continued evolution as an artist.
Most recently, her 2024 album, Abracadabra, has been longlisted for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize. Klô Pelgag's artistic journey is also intertwined with her brother, Mathieu David Gagnon, a composer and arranger known for his work with the instrumental music project Flore Laurentienne, as well as for creating orchestral arrangements for her albums.
