Kool Moe Dee

Mohandas Dewese, known to the world as Kool Moe Dee, was born on August 8, 1962. He emerged as a prominent figure in the hip hop scene during the 1980s, gaining recognition as a member of the influential group, the Treacherous Three. His contributions to the genre helped shape the New Jack Swing sound, which blended hip hop with R&B elements.

Throughout his illustrious career, Kool Moe Dee released a total of seven studio albums, five of which were solo projects. His last album, Interlude, was released in 1994, marking a significant chapter in his musical journey. His unique fast and aggressive rap style has left a lasting impact on the hip hop community, influencing a generation of artists including Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, and Tupac Shakur.

Among his most celebrated tracks are hits like 'Go See the Doctor', 'Wild Wild West', and 'How Ya Like Me Now'.
