Korado Korlević, born on September nineteenth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished Croatian astronomer and physicist. Renowned for his contributions to the field of astronomy, he has established himself as a leading figure among amateur astronomers worldwide.
During his tenure at the Višnjan Observatory from nineteen ninety-six to two thousand one, Korlević made remarkable strides in the discovery of minor planets. He is credited with the discovery of one thousand one hundred sixty-two numbered minor planets, placing him among the top twenty discoverers globally. His work has significantly advanced our understanding of these celestial bodies.
Among his notable discoveries are the outer main-belt asteroid 10415 Mali Lošinj and 10645 Brač, which belongs to the Eunomia family of asteroids. In addition to his work with minor planets, Korlević has also made significant contributions to comet discovery, identifying two comets: 183P/Korlević-Jurić and 203P/Korlević.
