Kosuke Hagino, born on August fifteenth, nineteen ninety-four, is a distinguished Japanese former competitive swimmer renowned for his expertise in the individual medley and the two hundred meter freestyle events.
Hagino's remarkable career is highlighted by his achievement as a four-time Olympic medalist, with a standout performance at the two thousand sixteen Summer Olympics where he clinched the gold medal in the four hundred meter individual medley.
In addition to his Olympic success, he holds several prestigious Asian Records, including those for the four hundred meter individual medley in long course, as well as the one hundred meter and two hundred meter individual medley in short course. Furthermore, he is part of Team Japan, which holds the Asian Record for the four by one hundred meter freestyle relay in short course.
Currently, Hagino is pursuing his studies at Toyo University under the guidance of coach Norimasa Hirai. His exceptional talent has also earned him the distinction of being one of only two Asians to be voted World Swimmer of the Year.
