Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Kris Commons

Kris Commons, born on August 30, 1983, is an English former professional footballer renowned for his role as an attacking midfielder. Although he was born in England, Commons represented the Scotland national team, thanks to his Scottish heritage through his grandmother from Dundee.

His professional journey began at Stoke City, where he made his debut in the year 2000. After four years with the club, he opted not to renew his contract and joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer. During his time at Forest, he made over 150 appearances and played a pivotal role in their promotion to the Championship in his final season.

Commons then transitioned to Derby County, again on a free transfer. His initial years were marred by injury, limiting his goal-scoring opportunities. However, he rebounded in his final season at Derby, netting thirteen goals before the mid-season transfer window.

In January 2011, Commons signed with Celtic for three hundred thousand pounds. His tenure at Celtic was marked by significant success, including five Scottish League Championships, two Scottish Cups, and one Scottish League Cup. He achieved the remarkable feat of being the top goalscorer in Scotland during the 2013–14 season, with thirty-two goals, and earned both the PFA Scotland and Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year awards that same year.

Despite his illustrious career, Commons fell out of favor at Celtic in 2016 and was briefly loaned to Hibernian. He was released by Celtic in May 2017, marking the end of his professional playing career.
