Krisdayanti

Krisdayanti, born on March 24, 1975, is a multifaceted Indonesian talent known for her work as a politician, singer, and actress. She is the younger sister of fellow singer Yuni Shara and the daughter of Trenggono and Rachma Widadiningsih. Krisdayanti's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of nine when she sang for the movie Megaloman. By twelve, she had released her first album, Biasa Saja, alongside the soundtrack for Catatan Si Emon, showcasing her early promise in music.

Her rise to fame accelerated in 1992 when she participated in the Asia Bagus star-search program, where she won the grand prize, leading to a recording contract in Singapore with Pony Canyon. This opportunity allowed her to release the single 'Show Me the Way to Your Heart,' which gained popularity across several Asian countries. Krisdayanti's accolades include being named 'The Best of Asia Bagus' in 1997 and winning multiple awards for her albums, including Best Indonesian Album for 'Menghitung Hari' at the 1999 Anugerah Industri Muzik.

In addition to her musical achievements, Krisdayanti has made a significant impact on Indonesian television, being recognized as one of the country's most prominent female stars. Her concerts, both local and international, have solidified her status as one of the most sought-after artists, reportedly earning more than the president of Indonesia. Despite facing personal challenges, including a highly publicized divorce from musician Anang Hermansyah in 2009, she has continued to thrive in her career.

After her divorce, Krisdayanti married businessman Raul Lemos on March 20, 2011, and welcomed a daughter, Arianna Amora Lemos, later that year. Although she initially announced her retirement from the entertainment industry to focus on family life in East Timor, she later expressed her desire to continue her singing career, inspired by the longevity of fellow Indonesian artist Titiek Puspa.
