Kristi Castlin

Kristi Castlin, born on July 7, 1988, is a distinguished American track and field athlete renowned for her expertise in the 100 metres hurdles. Her athletic prowess was showcased on the world stage when she clinched a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, contributing to a historic sweep of the event alongside her teammates Brianna Rollins and Nia Ali, who secured gold and silver respectively.

Castlin's journey to Olympic success was marked by her impressive personal best of 12.50 seconds, achieved during the finals of the 2016 United States Olympic Trials, where she placed second to qualify for the Olympics. Her accolades extend beyond the Olympics; she was crowned the American champion in the indoor 60 metres hurdles in 2012 and represented the United States at the IAAF World Indoor Championships that same year.

In addition to her individual achievements, Kristi shares the world record for the shuttle hurdle relay, with a remarkable time of 50.78 seconds set in 2013. Her collegiate career at Virginia Tech was equally impressive, where she earned seven All-America finishes in NCAA championships, ultimately leading to her induction into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame.
