Ksenija Atanasijević

Ksenija Atanasijević, born on February fifth, eighteen ninety-four, emerged as a pioneering figure in Serbian philosophy. She holds the distinction of being the first recognized major female philosopher in Serbia and the first woman to serve as a professor at Belgrade University, where she also completed her studies.

Her scholarly contributions are notable for their depth and breadth, encompassing the works of Giordano Bruno, ancient Greek philosophy, and the evolution of Serbian philosophical thought. Atanasijević was instrumental in translating significant philosophical texts into Serbian, including the works of Aristotle, Plato, and Spinoza, thereby enriching the intellectual landscape of her country.
