Kyoko Iwasaki

Kyoko Iwasaki, born on July 21, 1978, in Numazu, Shizuoka, is a distinguished Japanese swimming coach and a retired Olympic swimmer. Her remarkable journey in the world of swimming began at an incredibly young age, culminating in her historic achievement at the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain.

At just fourteen years and six days old, Kyoko made headlines by winning the gold medal in the 200 metres breaststroke, a feat that not only showcased her exceptional talent but also earned her the title of the youngest Olympic gold medalist in swimming at that time.
