Lady Zhen

Lady Zhen, born on January twenty-sixth in the year one hundred eighty-three, holds a significant place in the history of the Three Kingdoms period as the first wife of Cao Pi, the inaugural ruler of the state of Cao Wei. Her life spanned from the early years of the Han dynasty until her passing on August fourth in the year two hundred twenty-one.

Throughout her life, Lady Zhen was not only a consort but also a pivotal figure in the political landscape of her time. Her marriage to Cao Pi solidified alliances and played a crucial role in the establishment of the Wei dynasty. Despite the challenges of her era, she maintained a dignified presence in the court.

In recognition of her contributions and legacy, Lady Zhen was posthumously honored as Empress Wenzhao in the year two hundred twenty-six, following the ascension of her son, Cao Rui, to the throne. This honor reflects her enduring influence and the respect she garnered during her lifetime.
