Laird Sloan

Laird Sloan, born on October third, nineteen thirty-five, is a distinguished Canadian sprinter known for his remarkable achievements in athletics. He made his mark on the international stage by competing in the men's 400 metres at the 1956 Summer Olympics, showcasing his speed and determination.

In addition to his Olympic appearance, Sloan had a notable performance at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, where he finished second in the 4 x 440 yards relay alongside teammates Terry Tobacco, Doug Clement, and Joe Foreman. His journey in the same games also saw him reach the semi-finals of the 440 yards, demonstrating his competitive spirit and talent.
