Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Lalu Prasad Yadav

Lalu Prasad Yadav, born on June eleventh, nineteen forty-eight, is a prominent Indian politician known for his significant contributions to the political landscape of Bihar. He served as the chief minister of Bihar from nineteen ninety-one to nineteen ninety-seven and held the position of union minister for Railways from two thousand four to two thousand nine. As the founding president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), he has played a pivotal role in shaping the state's political dynamics.

Yadav's political journey began at Patna University, where he emerged as a student leader. In nineteen seventy-seven, he made history by being elected as one of the youngest members of the Lok Sabha for the Bharatiya Lok Dal of the Janata Alliance. His ascent to the chief ministership in nineteen ninety marked a transformative period in Bihar's socio-political environment.

In the two thousand fifteen Bihar Legislative Assembly election, Yadav's party formed a coalition with Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), but this alliance was short-lived as it dissolved when Kumar resigned, leading the RJD to become the opposition party. Despite this setback, the RJD emerged as the single largest party in the two thousand twenty Bihar Legislative Assembly election.

In two thousand twenty-two, the JD(U) rejoined the Mahagathbandhan, allowing the RJD to lead the government once again, although this partnership was brief as the JD(U) later returned to the National Democratic Alliance. Yadav's political career faced challenges, including a conviction in the Fodder Scam, which resulted in his imprisonment until he was granted bail on April seventeenth, two thousand twenty-one. He remains disqualified from office under the Representation of the People Act until six years after his release.

On a personal note, Lalu Prasad Yadav is married to former chief minister Rabri Devi and is the father of Tejaswini Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, continuing his family's political legacy.
