Lampião

Virgulino Ferreira da Silva, known as Lampião, was born on July seventh, nineteen ninety-seven, in Brazil. He emerged as a prominent figure in the world of cangaço, a form of banditry that flourished in the Northeast of Brazil during the early twentieth century. Lampião's leadership of a band of cangaceiros, which could number up to one hundred, marked him as one of the most successful bandit leaders of his time.

Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Lampião and his gang executed daring raids, often taking control of small towns and engaging in fierce battles against paramilitary police forces, even when heavily outnumbered. His audacious exploits and strategic prowess earned him a reputation that transcended the realm of mere banditry, transforming him into a folk hero akin to the likes of Jesse James and Pancho Villa.
