Landon Donovan, born on March fourth, nineteen eighty-two, is a celebrated figure in American soccer, renowned for his exceptional skills as a player, commentator, and coach. Often hailed as one of the greatest U.S. men's players in history, Donovan's illustrious career includes a remarkable record of fifty-eight assists in international football, a milestone he held until two thousand twenty-three. He is also tied with Clint Dempsey for the most international goals scored by a male U.S. player, totaling fifty-seven.

Donovan's professional journey began at the prestigious IMG Academy, leading to his signing with Bayer Leverkusen in nineteen ninety-nine. After spending six years with the club, primarily on loan to the San Jose Earthquakes, he made a significant return to the United States by joining the Los Angeles Galaxy. His career also saw him take on challenges in Germany with Bayern Munich and in the Premier League with Everton, where he had two loan spells in two thousand ten and two thousand twelve.
