Larry Graham Jr., born on August 14, 1946, is a celebrated American bassist and baritone singer, renowned for his pivotal role in the psychedelic soul and funk movement. He first gained prominence as a member of the iconic band Sly and the Family Stone, where his innovative approach to the electric bass guitar helped shape the sound of a generation.

As the founder and frontman of Graham Central Station, Larry continued to push musical boundaries. His single 'One in a Million You,' released in nineteen eighty, achieved remarkable success, reaching the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. This track showcased not only his vocal prowess but also his unique style that blends funk and soul.

One of Larry's most significant contributions to music is the invention of the slapping technique on the electric bass, a method he affectionately refers to as 'thumpin' and pluckin'.'
