LaVerne Jones-Ferrette

LaVerne Jones-Ferrette, born on September sixteenth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished sprinter hailing from the United States Virgin Islands. Specializing in the 100 and 200 meters, she has made her mark on the international athletics scene, representing her nation at the Summer Olympics in 2004, 2008, and 2012.

Her athletic prowess was showcased at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, where she clinched a silver medal in the 60 meters with an impressive time of six point ninety-seven seconds. However, her achievement was marred by a subsequent drug test that revealed a banned substance, leading to the stripping of her medal.

Jones-Ferrette's journey in competitive athletics includes participation in the World Championships in Athletics during 2005, 2007, and 2009, although she did not advance to the finals in those events.
