Léa Pool

Léa Pool, born on September 8, 1950, is a distinguished filmmaker with dual Canadian and Swiss nationality. Renowned for her work as a film director, screenwriter, film editor, and actor, Pool has made significant contributions to the cinematic landscape through her unique storytelling and artistic vision.

Throughout her career, Pool has directed a variety of documentaries and feature films, many of which have garnered prestigious awards. Notably, she was the first woman to receive the Best Film award at the Quebec Cinema Awards, and her films have also been recognized by the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, highlighting her impact on the film industry.
