Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Leah Namugerwa

Leah Namugerwa is a passionate youth climate activist from Uganda, recognized for her unwavering commitment to environmental conservation. Born in 2004, she has emerged as a leading voice in the fight against climate change, particularly through her innovative tree planting campaigns that aim to restore Uganda's natural landscapes.

Inspired by the global movement led by Greta Thunberg, Leah joined the Fridays for Future initiative in February 2019, collaborating with fellow activist Sadrach Nirere. Together, they have mobilized young people across Uganda to advocate for climate action and sustainability.

Her activism extends beyond local initiatives; Leah represented the youth at the World Urban Forum in 2020 and served as a delegate at COP25, where she highlighted the urgent need for global action on climate issues. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she continues to inspire others to join the environmental movement.

Leah's dedication to the cause is further fueled by her family background, with her uncle, Tim Mugerwa, also being a notable environmentalist in Uganda. As a member of the Anglican Church of Uganda, she integrates her faith with her commitment to protecting the planet.
