Lee Cattermole

Lee Cattermole, born on March 21, 1988, is an English former professional footballer renowned for his role as a central midfielder. He began his journey in football at Middlesbrough, where he progressed through the club's academy and made his professional debut in January 2006. Cattermole quickly established himself as a key player, and at the tender age of eighteen years and forty-seven days, he became the youngest captain in the club's history, making a total of ninety-one appearances and scoring four goals.

In July 2008, Cattermole made a move to Wigan Athletic, where he continued to showcase his skills, featuring prominently in thirty-five matches during the 2008–09 season. His impressive performances caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, leading to his transfer to Sunderland in August 2009.
