Lee DeWyze

Leon James "Lee" DeWyze Jr., born on April 2, 1986, is an accomplished American singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. He gained widespread recognition as the winner of the ninth season of the popular television show American Idol, which catapulted him into the spotlight.

Before his rise to fame on Idol, DeWyze had already begun to carve out a niche for himself in the music industry. He formed the Lee DeWyze Band and released two independent albums, So I'm Told in two thousand seven and Slumberland in two thousand ten, both under WuLi Records. These early works showcased his talent and passion for music, laying the groundwork for his future success.

Following his American Idol victory, DeWyze released his first post-Idol album, Live It Up, on November 16, 2010, through RCA Records. The album featured the hit single "Sweet Serendipity," which not only resonated with fans but also led him to meet his future wife, actress Jonna Walsh, on the set of the music video.
