Lee Dixon

Lee Dixon, born on March 17, 1964, is a retired English professional footballer renowned for his role as a right-back. His journey into football began in the terraces of Maine Road, where he was influenced by his father, Roy, a goalkeeper for Manchester City. Dixon's early career saw him join Burnley as a junior, but it was at Chester City where he made a significant impact before moving to Bury and then Stoke City. His impressive performances at Stoke caught the eye of Arsenal's manager, George Graham, leading to his signing in 1988.

During his time at Arsenal, Dixon became a defensive stalwart, contributing to the club's resurgence in English football. He played a pivotal role in Arsenal's first league title win in eighteen years, and over his career with the club, he amassed four league championship medals, three FA Cup winner's medals, and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup medal. His talent was recognized with two selections in the PFA Team of the Year for the 1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons.
