Leila Shahid, born on July thirteenth, nineteen forty-nine, is a prominent Palestinian politician and diplomat. She made history as the first woman ambassador of Palestine, representing the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in Ireland in nineteen eighty-nine and in the Netherlands in nineteen ninety.
In nineteen ninety-three, she transitioned to serve the Palestinian Authority (PA) in France, where she took office in Paris. Her diplomatic career continued to flourish as she became the General Delegate of Palestine in the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg from two thousand six to two thousand fourteen.
