Leland H. Hartwell

Leland H. Hartwell, born on October 30, 1939, is a distinguished American geneticist and biologist, renowned for his pivotal contributions to our understanding of cell cycle control. As a former president and director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington, Hartwell has played a significant role in advancing cancer research and treatment.
